For complex places to thrive, people matter most. The world has become a truly complex place. And with the evolution of the metaverse and space colonization on the horizon, our understanding of place is evolving.
My work has focused on the theory and practice of how to nurture people and places so that all thrive.
We are living in unsettling times. Technology is moving faster than our brains can process. It feels hard to hold onto ourselves, our families, our loved ones, our hopes and aspirations in the world churning around us. Some days I feel as if I am unmoored from a world I struggle to recognize, and am trying to make sense of the new places and ideas swirling around me.
And yet, I remain hopeful.
For me, hope comes from our ability to envision different futures, then figure out how to get there. That means staying on top of trends, innovation, tech and just what is moving around in the world.
Here is some of my formal writing.
