Hi, I’m Shari

I have journeyed with purpose through the worlds of economic and workforce development and higher education (and international relations but that’s so far back it seems like someone else’s life). I wrote (and published) fiction in the spare moments I could eke out when not working or solo parenting a kid with extreme anxiety and ADHD.

I find blank slates and empty pages invigorating. I see beauty in art and science, fact and fiction, and move forward with an urgency to make things happen. I translate this through writing. My current home is flash – short and simple is a power in our complex, too-contextualized world.

I also co-founded an art blog, Art As Conversation. Check it out. It uses art as a conduit to understanding ourselves and our world better.

I always look forward. The future is ours to build.
